Home    A Fun & Easy Guide To Hosting Your Memorial Day Get-Together

If you are like me you LOVE getting together with friends and family to celebrate any holiday, Memorial Day included. This holiday is definitely one for food, but this day also serves as the unofficial beginning of Summer!!!!! We are opening pools, raising flags, firing up the grills, filling picnic baskets and heading out to local festivals and beaches. Oh, and please don’t forget the sun screen!! As mentioned above, food is a  very big part of this holiday… particularly B-B-Q and Picnic Style Food. Below, I have compiled a few recipe ideas and decorative ideas to keep your Memorial Day extra special and yummy!!

1 – A Fun Centerpiece For The Table

If you are planning on hosting your Memorial Day Cookout with outside seating go ahead and set a pretty al fresco table for your guests. Stick some flags in geraniums and VOILA! You now have a very festive centerpiece for all of your delicious food to sit around.

2 – A Pasta Salad  With A Twist

Pasta Salad is an all-time classic when it comes to summer cookouts. These salads can be a healthy and delicious side dish, and you can be super creative with the ingredients! A  cute idea is to serve the salad individually, in mason jars then placing them in a large basket (such as a picnic basket) for easy access. This is sure to have your guests saying,  “OOOHHH and AHHHH!”
